What makes up a GreenStar (GPS) system?
Necessary components
  • GreenStar Display (Integrated/Isolated)
  • StarFire Receiver
  • Wiring Harnesses
  GreenStar 3: 2630 Display
A 10.4” full-color touchscreen display capable of guidance, mapping, documentation and machine/implement control. The 2630 is an ISOBUS compatible display that can be used to hook up to non-John Deere implements (contact dealer for compatibility information). A StarFire receiver is required for most functions.
  StarFire 3000 Receiver
A 66 channel, multi-frequency differential Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver. Standard features include access to both GPS and GLONASS satellites, integrated terrain compensation, and access to the StarFire Network (click to learn more about the StarFire Network). SF1 differential correction included in base, SF2 and RTK corrections available as upgrades. Contact a Deer Country representative for accuracy information.
John Deere’s assisted steering system that will automatically steer the machine on guidance lines set by the user, both straight and curved tracks. Offered in two accuracy levels, SF1 or SF2. Requires an integrated AutoTrac Ready machine, AutoTrac Controller, or AutoTrac Universal steering kit. Other necessary components include a GreenStar display and StarFire receiver.
  AutoTrac Universal (ATU)
Steering kit for automatic guidance on John Deere and non-John Deere machines including tractors, combines, sprayers, and windrowers. Can be moved between machines to utilize all year round. Requires a GreenStar display, StarFire receiver, and AutoTrac activation.
  AutoTrac Controller
Integrated steering kit for automatic guidance for John Deere and non-John Deere machines. See compatibility charts on Stellar Support (link) for list of compatible tractors, requirements, and limitations. Requires a GreenStar display, StarFire receiver, and AutoTrac activation.
  Section Control/Swath Control
Automatically turn implement sections on or off to reduce overlap and save on inputs. Can be utilized on sprayers, air seeders, planters, and nutrient applicators. Available as Section Control on a GS3 2630 or Swath Control Pro on a GS2 2600. Can control multiple operations simultaneously (example: shut row clutches and liquid fertilizer on a planter on and off independently).
Measure moister on-the-go on a John Deere self-propelled forage harvester. Mounts to the discharge spout and takes accurate readings as crop passes the sensor. The sensor can be removed from the harvester and used with a stationary kit to evaluate feed. Paired with a Constituent Sensing activation the sensor can measure protein, starch, NDF, and ADF of fresh or ensiled corn.
  GreenStar Rate Controller
Allows control of certain implement functions to be completed through GreenStar display. In some cases, original controllers or monitors can be completely removed from the cab and all functions run through the GreenStar display. Examples include pull-type sprayers, non-John Deere self-propelled sprayers, planters, and liquid applicators. Reduce cab clutter and increase your productivity with a GreenStar Rate Controller.
  GreenStar Rate Controller Dry
Allows a GreenStar 3 2630 display to integrate with a non-John Deere self-propelled and pull-type dry box spinner spreaders. Document up to 4 products at once. Can be configured to run map-based prescriptions. Requires a GreenStar 3 2630 display, StarFire receiver, and necessary harnessing.
  Wiring Harnesses
Have an older tractor? No worries! With GreenStar universal wiring harnesses we can add a GreenStar system to an older John Deere tractor or even different brands. Please note, some features like AutoTrac automatic steering cannot be installed on all machines, contact Deer Country to find out what would be available for your machine.
